The ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ was developed by the New Economics Foundation (NEF). View the original ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ cards created by NEF.

The National Health Service (NHS) endorse the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, and expand on it, calling it the ‘5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing’.

Student Minds is a student mental health charity. ​They empower students and members of the university community to develop the knowledge and skills to look after their mental health.

Action for Happiness is a movement of people committed to building a happier and more caring society. They have excellent resources.

Resilience. It is the word we use to describe how well we cope with difficult events and circumstances. Here is a questionnaire that you can use by yourself to help you understand how resilient you are, and where you can focus your work on improving your resilience. (Credit: Debbie Hawker)

Don’t forget local resources that might be helpful. Your university or college may have activities that promote well-being; these are often run by the Wellbeing or Counselling Service.

Friend International run opportunities for international students to get together in most areas; you can use the Friends International app to find out what is happening locally.
