Manchester Celebrates Our 40th Anniversary

We continued our Friends International 40th anniversary celebrations on Saturday 17th May, gathering with old and new friends at Elmwood Church in Salford for a wonderful meal and a time to celebrate the Lord’s goodness.

We heard powerful testimonies from students whose lives have been impacted by the local work in Manchester and Salford. Rosalee Ewell shared from John 4 – the story of the woman at the well – highlighting the importance of showing hospitality to international students and how such welcome can change lives forever.

To mark this special occasion, a beautifully made cake was shared and cut by a current volunteer alongside Maynard, who was part of the original beginnings of Friends International’s work in Manchester. Finally, we looked at the next 40 years with Alan Tower. Thank you to all those who attended!
