Edinburgh Shares Encouraging News
We are encouraged by these recent stories from our Edinburgh Centre, which speak to two students who have found support in their journey to learn more about the Christian faith. Warren, Centre Team Leader writes:
“We had two students from China who joined for a day trip back in the autumn. They enjoyed the chance to get to know other students and our staff, so they started looking at other opportunities to connect with Friends International.
In October, they both signed up to do Local Link and have spent some time getting to know their local host. After a few months, the local host discovered that our team was partnering with a church to co-lead an Alpha course that was also open to international students. The host and the two students decided to join. When asked, one student shared, “The reason I wanted to join was that my grandmother in China was a Christian. She always loved Jesus even though other people didn’t understand her. I want to understand for myself more about why she loved Jesus.”
Neither student is yet a Christian, yet we are praying that they will join our family soon! They both appear close to faith at this time…”
