Here in Oxford we are enjoying lovely sunny weather which has been great for getting out and about and meeting students. During OIO we are doing a Bible overview both with the team and for the students in the evenings. We are currently working through different parts of Genesis before moving onto God’s promises in Isaiah and Matthew’s Gospel.

 

We have also been learning about Cross-Cultural communication and especially thinking about key points of connection across cultures and how to share the gospel in a way that is accessible.

In the afternoons we have been doing flyering, an English Corner and games in the parks.

 

In the evenings we have a range of activities planned (Pancake Night, Japanese Night, Quiz Night, Open-Mic Night).

We have been especially encouraged by a number joining the Bible discussions as work through a small part of the Bible story each week. It has been great to reconnect with some familiar faces and to meet new people – including those who have attended FI events in other cities.

 

Do pray for students that we meet in the afternoons to come to evening events and to engage with the Bible discussions, and for energy for the team as the week continues.
